ending my instagram journey

Instagram journey

here's a little backstory. if you're wondering how I started making videos on instagram, I was working as a software engineer, working on side projects on the weekends. I've always loved explaining things, especially when people are genuinely interested. before making videos, I'd occasionally post on stories, but since my account was private, it was mostly just friends from uni seeing them.

the initial idea was simple: make some fun educational videos. I expected maybe 600 views at best since I'm not great at editing. surprisingly, they performed way better than anticipated.

but here's the thing: I don't intend to keep making videos. it pulls me too far from what I actually want to focus on. I'd rather spend time studying new concepts and building projects (with occasional shitposting, naturally).

I'm not sure if I'll ever return to video content, but I'm grateful for the experience. I learned a lot, and hopefully you did too. the best part was definitely the people I met along the way (yes, the real treasure was the friends we made).

what's next?

I'm gonna stop posting on instagram to focus on other things. you'll find my content here on this website and on X.

this shift lets me dedicate more time to challenging personal projects I'm working on. there's a lot of hard technical problems I want to tackle, and video creation was taking too much bandwidth.

if you want to stay connected, follow me on X where I'll be sharing interesting technical insights. I'll also be posting more in-depth content here on the website.

thank you all <3
